Services & Therapies
Dynamic Change Psychology uses a relational, attachment-informed and integrative approach to psychological therapy and draws on a range of evidence-based modalities. We view therapy as a dynamic process that needs to be tailored to each person's individual circumstances, needs and wants. Whilst we draw on a range of therapies including CBT, DBT, ACT and mindfulness and attachment informed approaches, we have a particular focus on Schema Therapy and EMDR. Dynamic Change Psychology offers individual, couples and family therapy both in person and online.

Schema Therapy
Schema therapy is an integrated therapeutic approach, originally developed as an expansion of traditional cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). The schema approach integrates aspects from CBT, attachment theory, psychodynamic concepts, and emotion-focused therapies. In comparison to CBT, schema therapy focuses on persistent patterns (schemas) and employs experiential techniques additionally to cognitive approaches. EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference. It is widely assumed that severe emotional pain requires a long time to heal. Click here to find out more about EMDR

CBT
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a relatively short term, focused approach to the treatment of many types of emotional, behavioural and psychiatric problems. The application of CBT varies according to the problem being addressed, but is essentially a collaborative and individualised program that helps individuals to identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and learn or relearn healthier skills and habits.
