Fees & Rebates

The fee for a 50-minute standard individual consultation with Susanne is presently $240, which is considerably lower than the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fee of $311 for a standard consultation with a Psychologist. Payments for fees are required prior to each consultation.

Private Referrals
A referral from a GP or health care specialist is not required to engage with a psychologist. However, without a GP referral and a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) Medicare rebates are not applicable, and the full standard consultation fee is payable.

GP Referrals & Rebates
Medicare Funded Sessions: Current Rebate: $141.85. We do not offer bulk billing and you will need to pay the gap between the consultation fee and the rebate.

A referral under a MHCP by your GP gives you access to a Medicare rebate for up to 10 attended psychological sessions per calendar year. For continued eligibility, you will need to attend a review session with your GP after 6 sessions to access a further 4 sessions.

Please note that couples therapy sessions are not funded by Medicare and rebates are not applicable.

DVA funded sessions: Veterans who have funding for psychology included on their DVA card can be referred by their GP to access 12 DVA funded sessions per treatment cycle. A treatment cycle

will last either 12 sessions or 1 year, whichever ends first. Clients can have as many treatment cycles as the GP decides are clinically necessary. DVA sessions are fully funded and clients do not have to pay a gap.

WorkCover

Susanne is registered with SIRA NSW (SIRA # 22417) for WorkCover and CTP and with WorkCover QLD. You will need a referral and approval from your insurer. WorkCover and CTP sessions will be directly billed to the insurer in accordance with WorkCover's fee schedule.

NDIS

Psychological services can be funded if they are included on your NDIS Plan.

Psychological assessment and therapy will be billed according to the hourly rates outlined in the NDIS Price Guide. The rate is presently $222.99 per hour.

Letters and Reports

The preparation of letters and reports will incur additional fees. In line with the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fee schedule, this fee is presently $311/hr +GST and is billed in 15-minute increments.

Cancellation Policy

Dynamic Change Psychology has a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. We believe that both your time, and the psychologist’s time are valuable.  When you book an appointment, the psychologist reserves the time to dedicate to your care. We would also like to encourage you to prioritise your mental health. We kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. This allows enough time for us to allocate this time to another person on the waiting list for an appointment.

  • More than 48 hours notice – No cancellation fee will be charged

  • Between 24 – 48 hours notice – A $100 fee will be charged

  • Less than 24 hours notice – 100% of the session fee will be charged

  • Non-attendance without notice – 100% of the session fee will be charged
